The Odd Couple

Gnarls Barkley

Review /Gnarls Barkley brings the groove.

What do you do when your debut single achieves a kind of unprecedented, global success that you know you can never repeat? That question looms over the second collaborative album by producer Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton and vocalist Thomas Callaway, better known as Cee-Lo Green.

The Hunter

Welcome to Sky Valley

Review /Grunge at it's peak.

Too often, underground bands squander their spunk on records they're not ready to make, then burn out their energy and inspiration with uphill touring. Nevermind finds Nirvana at the crossroads — scrappy garageland warriors setting their sights on a land of giants.

//About the selection.

You've probably already noticed that my musical preference is all over the place. But I like to think that's the way it should be! Even my own bands are all operating in different genres, I think I'd be bored to death if they didn't.

The current selection is rather heavy rock oriënted. I've come a long way since my metalhead days, but I'll always have a soft spot for heavy music, especially around this time of the year.

Right now I'm getting into electrofunk, big beat music. Xploding Plastix and the like will probably be making an appearance the next time I update my playlist.
